The coordinator of the government Emergency Committee, caretaker Environment Minister Nasser Yassin, inspected the unloading and storage of the cargo from the second aid ship sent by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the port of Beirut on Sunday, carrying approximately 3,000 tons of humanitarian aid.

This aid is part of the UAE's support in the wake of the war between Hezbollah and Israel in Lebanon.

"The aid has been stored, sorted, and packed in warehouses provided by the administration of the port of Beirut," stated Mr. Yassine, as quoted by the state-run National News Agency (NNA). He also said that the emergency committee, in cooperation with the Higher Relief Committee and the Lebanese Red Cross, will strive to distribute the aid to families affected by the Israeli attacks.

Several countries, including Qatar and Jordan, have sent humanitarian aid to the displaced in southern Lebanon, the southern suburbs of Beirut and the Bekaa.
