Commander-in-Chief of the Army Joseph Aoun has signed a new cooperation agreement with the Dutch Ambassador to Lebanon, Hans Peter van der Woude, which provides for the implementation of development projects within the framework of civil-military cooperation between the two countries. The signing took place in Yarze (Baabda district) in the office of Joseph Aoun, according to the press release relayed by the state-run National News Agency (NNA). No further details were given.
A previous agreement of this type was signed in November 2023.
Last May, during a visit to Lebanon by its Foreign Minister Hanke Bruins Slot, the Dutch government announced the allocation of 150 million euros in aid to Lebanon over four years.
