BEIRUT — Saudi Arabia's embassy in Lebanon evacuated 66 family members of its diplomatic staff in Beirut on Tuesday, confirmed Director of Civil Aviation at Beirut International Airport Fady Hassan.
"These individuals were evacuated [via Beirut Airport] aboard two Saudi military aircraft," said Hassan.
Neither the Saudi Embassy nor the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs were immediately available for further comment.
Since the start of the conflict between Israel and Hamas on Oct. 7, several embassies have asked their citizens to vacate Lebanon or avoid traveling there.
