A 14-year-old was lured into an abandoned building in Beirut, beaten and sexually assaulted, a source in the Lebanese Army's intelligence services told L'Orient-Le Jour on Monday.
The information was also reported by several local news outlets.
The assault reportedly took place in the Sabra district, in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
A woman, M. Z., allegedly lured the teenager — who reportedly had family problems — into an abandoned apartment where she was raped by a man, according to the army source.
M.Z.'s fiancé was also present at the scene and filmed the assault, according to the source.
"The three individuals are members of a prostitution network. M.Z. and the alleged rapist have been arrested," the intelligence services told L'Orient-Le Jour. The source was unable to give any immediate updates about M.Z.'s fiancé or the victim.
On social networks, a blurred video showing the victim being beaten sparked a wave of indignation.
"Rape is a crime ... with serious psychological consequences," said one social media user.
An investigation into the assault is underway, according to the army source.
