BEIRUT — Unknown persons opened fire with a military machine gun at the car of the son of a security official in Hezbollah Thursday evening. No injuries have been reported so far, according to L’Orient Today’s correspondent in the South.
The security source stated that the shooting came from a motorcycle, which fired at the car that was parked in front of Al-Sharq Sweets near the Abu Deeb roundabout in the center of Sour.
The Lebanese security services arrived at the scene and opened an investigation. Soldiers have been deployed in Al-Hosh area, east of the city.
Lebanese Army Chief Joseph Aoun warned in November of possible security incidents as the country is in a "period of presidential vacancy, along with the ongoing political tensions."
