Explosion in a hospital in Nabatieh, patients evacuated

An explosion tore through the governmental hospital in Nabatieh Tuesday evening, according to Mountasser Abdallah, L'Orient Today's South Lebanon correspondent. The cause of the explosion has yet to be determined with certainty, but hospital director Hassan Wazni speculated it may have been caused by a gas or oxygen leak. 

All the patients, approximately 150 in number, have been evacuated from the hospital and placed in other medical facilities.

The blast was heard throughout the area and caused significant damage to the hospital's interior. Video sent to L'Orient Today shows collapsed ceiling tiles. There have been no reports of injuries at this time.
