BEIRUT —The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued emergency numbers on Tuesday for Lebanese nationals in Syria and Turkey, after Monday's earthquakes that killed more than 5,000 people across both countries, according to the latest toll.
At least five Lebanese reportedly lost their lives in the disaster.
In a tweet Tuesday morning, the ministry said it "calls on all Lebanese citizens in Syria and Turkey to respect the security measures and guidelines issued by the specific authorities of each country."
It added said that "in case of necessity or emergency" the following numbers can be contacted via WhatsApp:
