Travelers entering Lebanon now exempted from PCR test

BEIRUT — Caretaker Health Minister Firas Abiad issued a decision Tuesday exempting all travelers arriving in Lebanon from PCR or rapid COVID-19 tests, regardless of their vaccination status.

The testing requirements were originally implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic. The new decision concerns all travelers entering Lebanon by land, air or sea.

The number of daily coronavirus infections in Lebanon soared in July, but has decreased over the last two months.
