ISF detains two men suspected of stealing oil from disused Tripoli pipeline

BEIRUT — The Internal Security Forces on Monday morning arrested a father and son on the outskirts of Saadine village in North Lebanon on suspicion of stealing oil stored in a non-operational pipeline that is connected to the oil installations in Tripoli.
Here’s what we know:
• According to L’Orient Today’s correspondent in the area, the ISF seized the two men who were using a van that contained a tank and the tools that could have been used for the theft.
• Last week, the ISF made arrests related to a similar incident in the Minieh-Dinnieh area. It detained two men suspected of stealing crude oil and seized two mini buses, one of which contained a metal tank of 2,000 liters filled with oil, along with an amount of hash that was in the possession of one of the detainees.
