SAIDA — Last Friday's road accident east of Saida, which killed two young women, has now also claimed a third victim. The third woman from the car, who was initially transported to hospital in critical condition, succumbed to her injuries on Wednesday, a medical source told our correspondent in southern Lebanon, Muntasser Abdallah.
The three women were sisters from Kfarhatta. The residents of the town announced the young woman's death on Wednesday morning, five days after the accident.
The accident occurred at dawn on Friday, as the three women were driving through the village of al-Karya, near the coastal city of Saida. Their car overturned and burst into flames, but the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
