BEIRUT — Lebanon's Traffic and Vehicle Management Authority's registration department announced that it has begun distributing new license plates for vehicles and motorcycles that "conform to approved standards" to authorized centers responsible for pressing the plates throughout the country.
The rollout of new plates is part of an effort to update and standardize vehicle registration in Lebanon.
In its statement, the department urged vehicle owners who have completed their registration process and received a receipt to collect their new plates from the specified centers.
The department also announced that the cost of casting two license plates has been raised to LL750,000 ($8.4 at the market rate of LL89,500 to the dollar), and instructed drivers to call 01 691 480 if they have any comments or complaints.
