BEIRUT — A five-year-old Syrian national,  Yazan Muhammad Ibrahim,  lost his life in a fire inside a car in the area of Beddawi in Tripoli, northern Lebanon on Friday, the Civil Defense and a source among rescuers told L'Orient Today.

The attempts by local residents to rescue him were unsuccessful due to the intensity of the flames as the car was completely engulfed in fire, according to the second source, as reported by L'Orient Today's correspondent in the North. The causes of the fire are unknown at this time.

A member of the civil defense in Tripoli said by the time the rescue team had arrived at the scene, the boy was already dead.
