BEIRUT — On Friday, a dead body was recovered from under the rubble of Mansourieh collapsed building, raising the number of deaths to seven.
On Monday, a devastating collapse shook the Edmond Yazbeck Block D building in Badran neighborhood of Mansourieh, Metn district. As of Wednesday, six dead bodies, all women, were recovered from under the rubble.
According to L'Orient Today's correspondent Muntasser Abdallah, another dead body, a woman, was recovered on Friday evening, and rescue teams are searching for a foreign worker who is still under the rubble.
All buildings on the same block of the collapsed structure were evacuated on Monday.
The deadly collapse, which under ordinary circumstances would have grabbed headlines, is currently eclipsed by the latest clashes in southern Lebanon.
Correction: A previous version of this article stated that "Block E" of the complex had collapsed. It was in fact Block D.
