An individual wanted for fraud, identified as M.A.A., was apprehended on Tuesday at Beirut International Airport (BIA), according to an airport security source.
The arrest of the individual, arriving from Dubai, was carried out under a warrant issued by the investigating judge of Mount Lebanon, Bassam al-Hajj.
The individual is suspected of committing fraud amounting to $7 million and scamming expatriates in the United Arab Emirates.
Authorities said the investigation is ongoing.
