BEIRUT — A 7-year-old Syrian child on Thursday drowned while swimming in the Litani river between the villages of Bourj Rahal and Badias in South Lebanon, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

According to the NNA, the child's parents lost him before discovering he drowned. He passed away despite being given artificial respiration.
