BEIRUT — An electrical generator exploded on Tuesday morning at a residential building in Beirut’s Zoqaq al-Blat neighborhood, causing a massive fire, Civil Defense spokesperson Charbel Msann told L’Orient Today.
Msann added that the fire spread to two diesel tanks, damaging three apartments, a shop and six cars. There were no reported injuries.
He said firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze. Photos from the scene that circulated via social media Tuesday morning showed burned-out cars on a residential street and a blackened building facade.
