BEIRUT — Lebanon's Foreign Ministry on Thursday condemned Israeli attacks on the Palestinian city of Nablus that left eleven Palestinians, including a 16-year-old, dead and over 80 wounded by gunfire.
On Wednesday, Israel launched its deadliest raid in nearly 20 years on the occupied West Bank, drawing international attention.
In a statement published on Twitter, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry said that it "strictly condemns" the attack and demanded that the international community "bear its responsibility and directly intervene to put limits to the repeated and dangerous Israeli violations against the Palestinian people."
The ministry's statement also asked the international community to "activate the international laws to prevent and punish Israel for its systematic crimes."
Earlier today, Hezbollah also condemned the attack and said that it "repeats its solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and its justified right to defend its existence and its land."
Last year was reported as the deadliest year in the territory since the United Nations started tracking casualties in 2005.
