BEIRUT — An explosion on Wednesday night in Ain al-Rummaneh in Mount Lebanon that injured one person was caused by an "electrical short circuit," the Internal Security Forces said in a statement on Thursday morning.
On Wednesday night, videos shared on social media showed a fire burning in ground floor of a building in Ain al-Rummaneh.
"After following up [with the incident], it turns out that around 21:50 on Wednesday night, an electrical short circuit took place at an invertor for water refining owned by the municipality of Chiyah, which led to an explosion and to a fire in the room of the concierge in Chiyah Park, in which he was injured, but treated immediately," the ISF said in its statement on Thursday morning.
