Abolishing morality police 'won't change' Iranians' rights demands: Berlin

Disbanding Iran's morality police would not quell Iranians' demands for fundamental rights, Berlin said Monday.

"Iranians are taking to the street for their fundamental rights. They want to live freely and in self-determination and such a measure [abolishing the morality police], if it is implemented, won't change that," a spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry said at a regular press conference.
