Forces of Change MPs Halimé El Kaakour, Melhem Khalaf, and Firas Hamdan met on Tuesday with Hezbollah MPs in Beirut’s southern suburb, the party stronghold.Meanwhile, their colleagues Paula Yacoubian and Waddah Sadek also engaged in discussions in Ain al-Tineh, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri’s residence, with MPs from Berri’s parliamentary bloc, including Ali Hassan Khalil, who is being implicated in the Beirut port explosion probe.Seeing these MPs, who claim to be associated with the Oct. 17, 2019 popular uprising and who shouted “kellun yaani kellun” (all of them means all of them, a protest chant aimed at the political elite) in the streets nearly three years ago, reach out to their fiercest opponents has come much to the dismay of many Lebanese.
