ghassan salame

A renowned geopolitician and professor at Sorbonne University and Sciences-Po Paris, Ghassan Salame served as Minister of Culture from 2000 to 2003 in Rafik Hariri's government. In 2003, he was the U.N. special envoy in Iraq before playing the same role in Libya from 2017 to 2020. He succeeds Mohammad Mortada, affiliated with Hezbollah.
