“The Israeli army is preparing for the return of hostage Edan Alexander, who will be transferred by a special unit to the initial reception center in Reim” in southern Israel, near the Palestinian territory, said an Israeli official a few hours after the announcement by Hamas's armed wing of the release of the 21-year-old hostage later in the day.
