Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid released a statement Tuesday, after the death of Hanna Katzir, a 77-year-old woman who was abducted by Hamas during the Oct. 7, 2023 attack and was part of the prisoner-captive deal of last year.
“Rest in peace, Hanna, we will not rest and will not stop until all the kidnapped return home,” he said.
The Oct. 7 attack resulted in the death of 1,205 people Israelis, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli figures, which includes hostages killed in captivity.
Israel's military offensive since then has killed over 45,000 people in the Gaza Strip, according to figures provided by the territory's health ministry.
