In pictures: The destruction in the southern suburbs of Beirut after Israeli raids
For weeks now, the Israeli army has relentlessly bombarded the southern suburbs of Beirut. Before certain strikes, the Israeli military orders residents to flee, following a "method" often seen in Gaza. Other strikes come without any prior warning, like the massive one on Friday, Sept. 27, which claimed the life of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.
L'Orient-Le Jour's photographer, Mohammad Yassine, visited some of the heavily shelled neighborhoods on Tuesday and Wednesday, Oct. 1 and 2. Here are his images.
