BEIRUT – The head of the Internal Security Forces General Imad Othman did not appear at his hearing Thursday before Mount Lebanon Investigative Judge Nicolas Mansour, local TV channel LBCI reported.
Here’s what we know:
• Mount Lebanon Public Prosecutor Judge Ghada Aoun had filed a complaint against the head of the ISF regarding a case related to the central bank Governor Riad Salameh. According to LBCI, Judge Mansour has not set a date for a new hearing.
• Judge Aoun accuses General Osman of ordering his security forces to prevent an arrest operation against Salameh.
• Last week, Judge Aoun issued a subpoena against Salameh as security forces searched his homes and office without finding him.
