BEIRUT — A fire broke out early Sunday afternoon in a car dealership in Dbayyeh, on the Metn coastal highway opposite the ABC shopping center.
Here's what we know:
• The Civil Defense deployed to the scene to put out the fire, the causes of which remain unknown.
• Due to the high summer heat, many fires have occurred in recent weeks in Lebanon, where the organizations responsible for fighting the flames are sorely lacking in resources. On Saturday, an large fire broke out in the Kafaat are of the southern suburbs of Beirut following an explosion in a neighborhood generator, installed to supply power to residents, causing significant material damage.
